Here’s a quick step-by-step guide to get your Znode up and running with the latest version in a few minutes. This guide assumes you are upgrading from a 0.13.4.x version to 0.13.5.7. If you are upgrading from 0.13.5.5 or 0.13.5.6, please adjust the paths in step 4 accordingly.
- Log on to your Znode
- Copy a link to the Linux archive from GitHub or Bitbucket by right-clicking the file name (zcoin-qt-0.13.5.7-linux64.tar.gz) and selecting the copy link menu item in your browser
- On the Znode’s command line, type “wget” and insert the copied link after it like so:
wget https://github.com/zcoinofficial/zcoin/releases/download/v0.13.5.7/zcoin-qt-0.13.5.7-linux64.tar.gzThis will download the archive to your Znode
- Stop the zcoin daemon
and remove the old version
rm -rv zcoin-0.13.4
- Unpack the downloaded archive by typing
tar xvzf zcoin-qt-0.13.5.7-linux64.tar.gz
- Now you can start your Znode again
When upgrading from a 0.13.4.x version your Znode will go through a mandatory reindex upon the first start of the daemon. You can follow the process by periodically checking the output of
./zcoin-cli getinfo and wait till it shows the current block or wait till
./zcoin-cli znsync status shows the status “ZNODE_SYNC_FINISHED”.
