Testnet Binaries with Znode GUI

By December 7, 2017 No Comments

We are approaching release of Znodes and thank you for your patience. We know we missed the first week of December but wanted to ensure a stable release and thank you for your understanding. We would like to thank the community for their participation on the public testnet and are rolling out test release binaries to open it up to a greater audience for a final round of testing.

WARNING:

These binaries need to be run with the flag -testnet. Please ensure you’re not using these binaries on mainnet or on your real wallet. We will not be responsible for any loss. As always, always a good idea to do a backup of your wallet.dat by clicking on File>Backup Wallet and then saving your wallet.dat in another location (or even better another drive).

It is still however NOT recommended for casual users. If the instructions below don’t make sense, we don’t recommend you test and just wait a bit more for the final release.

Download your binaries here.

Windows

Open the folder where the you extracted zcoin-qt is located. Hold Shift, right-click inside the folder and select ‘Open command window here’. In the command window, type:

zcoin-qt-public-testnet-0.13.4.1b-win64.exe -testnet

or in Powershell

\zcoin-qt-public-testnet-0.13.4.1b-win64.exe -testnet

Linux

Navigate to the directory where your zcoin-qt binary is. In the Terminal, type in the following:

./zcoin-qt -testnet

Mac OS

Using the Terminal, enter the following command:

/Applications/zcoin-qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Zcoin-qt -testnet

Znode Setup Instructions

Please read the guide here. Ensure that you change all references of port 8168 to port 18168 to fit it on the testnet.
